Booking a ticket on the Air France app
If your child is between 4 and 11 years old* or 5 and 14 years old* you can book their ticket using the Air France app. When you book their ticket, please let us know your child is traveling alone. You will then need to complete the "unaccompanied minor" form. * 4 to 11 years old for a trip within Metropolitan France, a trip from Metropolitan France to Overseas France, or a destination in our Intra-Caribbean network. * 5 to 14 years old on our international network.

The Air France app (free and available in 10 languages on smartphones and tablets) simplifies your child's trip. From the moment your child is in the care of our staff to boarding, from take-off to landing: follow along every step of the way!
Prepare for your child's trip
Select the subject about which you would like to learn more.
- Click on "Manage information about accompanying persons" under your child's name
- Review all the pre-filled information and make any necessary changes.
- Save and download the travel file.
The number of copies you should bring to the airport varies according to your child's itinerary:
- 2 copies for a direct flight
- 3 copies for flight with a connection
- 4 copies for a flight with more than one connection
Is your child traveling on a flight operated by our partner Delta? You do not need to complete an "unaccompanied minor" travel form. We will provide you with a specific form to fill out at the airport. Is your child traveling to the United States? They must provide a customs declaration form upon arrival.
Please note: Any passenger under 18 years old, whether a French citizen or a foreigner living in France, must obtain authorization to leave the country for any journey outside France.

Our service for children traveling alone has resumed on almost all of our network. Connections are possible at Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG), Paris-Orly (ORY) and Lyon (LYS). Routes with connections that do not currently offer the Kids Solo service include:
- Travel to/from China, the United Arab Emirates, and Hong Kong.
The Kids Solo service is available for travel to/from Noumea (NOU), departing from Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG):
- via Tokyo-Narita (NRT) or Singapore (SIN)
Please be aware that transfers between Paris-Orly (ORY) and Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) are unavailable.
Children traveling alone should check in:
30 hours before departure in the " Check-in " section of the website. You will receive a confirmation document, which you must present at the check-in counter. - At the check-in counter on the day of departure. Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the flight’s check-in closes. The check-in deadline is indicated on your child's ticket.

Please check in any baggage that your child may not be able to carry on their own. At the check-in counter, we will let you know where and when our staff will come to collect your child. At the expected time, an Air France staff member will accompany them to the aircraft. You will receive a text message confirming their flight’s departure. You can leave the airport once you have received it. Be aware that, in the event of flight cancelation, you may need to look after your child while they wait for a new flight. The designated pickup person will also receive a text message notifying them of the flight's estimated arrival time.
Upon arrival, your child will be the last to leave the aircraft. A staff member will accompany them to the arrival area to meet the designated pickup person. This designated person will receive a text message with the aircraft’s estimated time. The designated pickup person must show a valid ID card or passport with a clear photo. Depending on the airport, your child will either have already picked up their baggage or will pick it up with the designated pickup person at the destination*. * The designated pickup person must be of legal age (except for parents and legal guardians who may be under 18 years of age).
